Hope Communities

Voting for the 2021 People’s Choice Award is now open! Voting ends on April 16th.

Hope Communities is proud to announce that we have been nominated for the prestigious 2021 Eagle Award, celebrating extraordinary accomplishments and outstanding leadership in housing and support services.  Built on the belief that housing is the first step towards self-sufficiency, Hope also offers educational programs, resource navigation and support services to the more than 1,400 people we serve every year.

Hope Communities has helped thousands of low-income families achieve self-sufficiency and become productive, engaged members of the community, based upon the bedrock of affordable housing. The organization owns and operates nearly 300 affordable rental units in three Denver neighborhoods; all of the units are rented at or below 60% of Denver’s AMI, providing housing for families from around the world. Hope has increased its ability to assist the growing number of refugee clients–adding staff with cultural familiarity and linguistic competencies from Burma, Ethiopia, Sudan, Afghanistan, among others. The organization offers classes in financial literacy, career search and job competencies, English, technology basics, and housing stability skills.

Established in 1990, the Eagle Award represents one of the highest achievements for the Colorado housing community. This prestigious award celebrates the extraordinary accomplishments and outstanding leadership in housing and support services. The award honors individuals, agencies, projects, and programs that soar to new heights in their work to ensure safe, fair, affordable housing for all Coloradans.

Winners are chosen by an industry-diverse selection committee. Awards will be presented at the Eagle Awards Ceremony. All nominees are recognized during the ceremony and on Housing Colorado’s website.

Hope has been doing extraordinary work before and throughout the pandemic, and we would be honored to receive the People’s Choice Award – please vote for Hope!
