Colorado Gives Day is one of the most important days of the year for Hope Communities. It’s a moment when our community comes together to support families who are working hard to build stability in the face of rising costs, housing insecurity, and limited access to essential resources.

This year, we are asking our community to join us in supporting the Family Wellness Fund—an initiative designed to meet urgent needs while strengthening long-term wellness for families across our properties.

Why Your Support Matters

Food insecurity continues to rise across Denver. For many families, the cost of groceries, rent, utilities, and basic needs creates impossible choices:

  • Food or rent
  • Gas or groceries
  • Bills or school supplies

Hope Communities exists to make sure families don’t face those choices alone. Through our bi-weekly fresh food markets, financial coaching, youth enrichment programs, and resource navigation, we’re able to meet families where they are and walk with them toward stability.

In the past year alone, with your support, Hope Communities provided:

99,802 fresh, healthy meals to families facing food insecurity
3,617 clients with assistance accessing SNAP, Medicaid, rental assistance, and other vital benefits
2,075 individuals with employment support and workforce readiness services
Children and teens with safe, supportive educational and enrichment programs

These aren’t just numbers. They’re neighbors who gained hope, dignity, and a path forward.

The Family Wellness Fund: A Holistic Approach to Community Care

Food is often the first step in a much larger journey. Through the Family Wellness Fund, we can address the full picture of what families need to thrive, including:

  • Fresh, nutritious food that respects cultural traditions
  • Stable, affordable housing support
  • Youth education and after-school enrichment
  • Access to healthcare and wellness resources
  • Financial coaching, employment support, and long-term planning
  • This fund strengthens the foundation families need to move from surviving to thriving.

Our Goal: $40,000 by Year-End

To continue meeting the growing needs of our community in 2026, we aim to raise $40,000 by December 31.

And this year, a generous anonymous donor has offered a $25,000 challenge match.
Every dollar you donate to address food insecurity will be matched, doubling your impact.

Your Gift Creates Real Change

Whether it’s putting fresh food on a family’s table, helping a parent access job training, or ensuring a child has a safe place to learn and grow—your support fuels stories of resilience, stability, and hope.

Colorado Gives Day is more than a moment. It’s a movement toward a stronger, healthier, more connected community.
