For years now, volunteers from Charles Schwab have shown up for Hope Communities with the same reliability and heart that defines this partnership. What started as a one-day volunteer event has grown into an ongoing relationship that strengthens our properties, supports our residents, and reminds us what steady community engagement really looks like.
This year, Schwab volunteers once again brought their energy to Hidden Brook. Our gardens, landscaping, and community spaces always take a hit over the winter, but the teams came ready to dig in. They cleared out overgrown areas, refreshed garden beds, and helped restore the raised planters originally built by Schwab volunteers years ago. Residents who garden at Hidden Brook were thrilled to see the space revived.
Volunteers also turned their attention to the flower beds and entry areas that welcome neighbors into the property. After seasons of wear, those spaces needed care, and the team cleaned, mulched, and replanted—giving the corners of the E. Colfax neighborhood a fresh, bright lift.
Inside the building, Schwab volunteers tackled interior projects as well, from paint touch-ups to hallway refreshes that made our common spaces feel warm and well-cared-for again. Their efficiency always surprises us, and this year was no exception.
We’re deeply grateful for this continued partnership. Seeing familiar faces return each year—and new faces join alongside them—speaks to the genuine commitment Schwab has made to our residents and our mission. They don’t just volunteer; they invest in the wellbeing of our communities.
Thank you, Charles Schwab, for another year of dedication, teamwork, and generosity. We’re proud of the impact we create together.
